i was recently asked by an elementary school if i'd give a reading on the
roof of their school with their principal who would be dressed in her pajamas --
as would all 800 of the students. i'd share billing with an elvis
impersonator (a parent volunteer) who sang literary versions of elvis songs ...
odd,
sure. riding up on the cherry picker, terrifying. but the kids loved it ... and
i hear it really was much more popular than the year the principal had
promised to kiss a pig if the school broke their reading record ...
hope that helps ....
