I agree with Allan O'Grady Cuseo about fixed schedules. Having done both
in several elementary schools, the work is SO much more rewarding and
satisfying with a flexible schedule. You're a team player instead of an
"adjunct" staff person.
Unfortunately, there can be a negative element of flexible schedules.
Those at the top may incorrectly think you're doing nothing as there's
nothing concrete in your schedule. So, it requires lots of promotion to
let the higher-ups know what you are doing.
