Internet Public Library

IPL provides a number of online library services, including a searchable subject
directory of Internet links that have been librarian-reviewed; online reference
titles; online-viewable books, magazines and newspapers, and tools for Internet
searches.
Infomine

A virtual library of Internet resources, including not only websites but databases,
electronic journals, mailing lists, and many other types of information, all
reviewed by university librarians. The resources are primarily aimed at
college-level students, but high school students should still be able to find
useful information.
Bartleby's Reference

A selection of online reference books. The list includes dictionaries,
encyclopedias, and a number of subject-specific works, including English Usage and
Anatomy, among many others.
Google Scholar

A Google search site that lets you search through published scholarly literature
