SEC: name of short story with tiger and man in cage

Hi LM netters,
A high school student is trying to find the title of a short story he read that had 
two men fighting and one was put in a cage with a tiger. The man was able to 
survive in the cage and not be killed by the tiger.
That's all he remembers. Does anyone recognize this story and could give me the 
title and author?
