Dear LM_NET users of the Follett pursuasion:
Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but this is so cool!!! I have struggled
with creating Authority headings in Follett in the past from scratch. I saw a
reference in an earlier posting about the web site: http://authorities.loc.gov
and realized it is the same source I have downloaded MARC records from. If you
know how to download marcs, you can go to http://authorities.loc.gov and download
AUTHORITY (see, see also references) for your computer catalog!!! I especially use
"manners see etiquette" and "cars see automobiles" but creating them from scratch
was difficult and not always consistant. I manage 3 different & separate Follett
Circulation Plus databases and this keeps them consistant. I'm pumped, just
forgive me if this is obvious information that has been available to all of you!
