LM_NET Archive

Hi,

I have been an on and off LM_NET subscriber for the 7 years I have been in
the profession. I am back to school now for about 3 months before my due
date. I then intend to take off the rest of this year and all of next
school year for maternity and child-rearing leaves. I do intend to come
back for the 2006-2007 school year.

I am looking for some advice for how to leave things so that the
transition to the new librarian (and then back to me!) will be as smooth
as possible. I don't know what the training/background of my replacement
will be and don't even know whether they will be able to fill the year and
a half with one person or will need more. I work at the high school level,
grades 9-12. I will post a HIT of advice received for anyone else who
might be interested.

Thanks,
Kelley
