I think I know the answer to this, but before I proceed, I want opinions. I have
two questions about copyright infringement and fair use.
Since the school is a "fair use" environment, any video shown to students, by
teachers, afterschool, clubs, etc. must be used in face to face instruction. Not
even an after school event can watch a video as "down time." Is this correct?
Second question: Each morning before our morning announcements I show an art print
and play music. So far I've used classical music owned by the school. However,
the music teacher would like us to change to a different kind of music each month,
ie., jazz, blues, gospel, etc. May we legally do this? Although it is not "face
to face", it is a review of what the music teacher is doing in class. Does it
matter if the music is instrumental or vocal?
Thanks for your help.
