REF: Columbia Gazetteer of the World

Dear LM_NETters,

I have received an offer to purchase a print copy of the "Columbia =
Gazetteer of the World" at a very attractive price. However, I am not =
familiar with this publication and wonder if I may have some input about =
its usefulness and reliability from more experienced colleagues? I =
couldn't find anything in the LM_NET archives.=20

I did sign up for the free trial of the online version, and while I did =
receive hits for most of my queries, some of them quite small places, I =
was surprised that for instance Sweden's second largest airport was not =
listed. Also, the information at the "Aland Islands" is incorrect, =
saying "Location" is Sweden, and showing the Swedish map and flag, =
although from the text you can more or less gather that they do, indeed, =
belong to Finland.

So, before I spend my money on the book and the postage, would you =
recommend this resource?
