Choosing information sources

Hi,
I have been given the assignment of helping 8th grade students find =
resources they need to complete a simple report on an animal of their =
choosing.  I know what resources I'd like to point out, but I'm not sure =
how I'd like to go about doing it.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to =
"jazz up" a lesson on resources, something other than simply pointing =
them in the direction of the ones they will need?  I'm thinking that a =
10 -15 minute activity would be good enough and still allow them time to =
get started on their research.
