This is so interesting to see what "other things" we do in our school day.
I am a newly certified LMS (yeah!) in a large elementary school, and besides
my fixed schedule of every class coming to visit the library each week (only
circulating books), I teach the Voyager Passport program one period a day to a
first grade class. I am also the Project Arts coordinator, overseeing arts
partnerships, trips, purchases of art materials, etc., and cover a kindergarten
class one prep period each week. I am the co-editor of the school newsletter
and assist with grants and fundraising.
Not surprisingly, my card catalog (we are not automated) hasn't been updated
in 40 years.
I would love to hear from others about what else a librarian does...
