We are having the book "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakauer challenged because of the
f-word appearing in the text.
Has anyone had any experience with this and, if so, what is the best way to
proceed. We have a district wide procedure in place that has been followed and are
at the stage where the parent is saying all books with f-words in them are
pandering to the illiterate and uneducated reader.
I'd be interested in any and all contributions.
Thanks,
Howard Strey
