Help finding author/series

This is my first post to the listserv.  I hope I am doing everything
correctly.

I have a student who read a book that she says was number 3 in a
series, about a girl sent to Ireland to live with an aunt.  She says the
author's name was Dana D________, but doesn't remember the last name
other than it started with D.  She believes there are about 6 books in
the series.  Can anyone help us out with this, the author's name and/or
the name of the series?  If so, you can just email me directly (address
below) instead of posting it to the whole list.  Thanks.
