HIT: Phonics based readers

Here are the hits I received from the listserv on the readers:

We bought a set of Compass Point Phonics readers. They have a controlled
vocab, a word list, a game to play that involves the content of the =
book,
and a letter to parents explaining how the book can be shared with their
child. They are also Accelerated Reader.

 Try books by Margaret Hillert.  Of course, there are also Dr. Seuss =
books
like Green Eggs and Ham, Cat in the Hat, Fox in Sox, etc.

decodable books and a list of sources at the bottom of the page.

If the kindergarten teacher has not found it yet, that site   (
http://www.auburn.edu/~murraba ) will have many resources that she'll

I'm not familiar with the BOB books; please explain. (BOB books are from
Scholastic Books. They are little readers that come as a set in a box. =
They
are great for beginning readers but are more "classroom" feel than
"enjoyment" reading. Hope that makes sense.)

I have a series called "Power Phonics" books published by PowerKids =
Press (a
division of Rosen Publishing Group).  Our kindergarten teachers love =
them
for beginning readers.  An example is "Be Safe on the Bus: Learning the =
B
