I was really ticked off last night. My husband and I went to our =
neighborhood Barnes and Noble bookstore. I collected a small stack of =
books and magazines that I wanted to sort through and I couldn't find a =
place to sit.
Apparently, since our B & N is close to a university, it is the "new" =
place for university students to study. The students occupied every =
easy chair and every table. The only purchases they had made was from =
Starbucks (mmmmm....white chocolate mocha....sorry I digress...heheh). =20
A complaint made to the store manager was not satisfying. He basically =
said that the decision to ban/bar the students had to be made on the =
corporate level and that the store couldn't do anything about it.
Needless to say, I will pursue this to the corporate level. I think it =
is poor business practice to allow the students to take over the store =
and to discourage paying customers from enjoying the store.
Have any of you had a similar problem with your bookstores?
