Is there anyone on the list who was teaching in the 70's and remembers an
elementary school, classroom management program called (if memory serves
me right)Interning for Learning? Here's what my old brain can remember.
It was a way of providing small group instruction and follow up. The class
was divided into four groups and the groups would cycle through 4 or 5
different area of the classroom. There was a small group lesson, a follow
up, learning stations, and choice activities.
It was developed in the Cape May, NJ Educational Instructional Resource
Center, which no longer exists.
It was a great program that I feel lends itself very well to the use of
technology in a cross-curricular approach to learning. I would like to
rework it in that model, but need someone who remembers how the scheduling
of groups was accomplished.
If you remember this program or know anyone who might, I would greatly
appreciate it if you would have them contact me off list.
Thanks!
