Mary,
An acceptable use policy should contain or refer to district policies
regarding consequences for violations of rules, such as downloading
games or going to porno sites or getting into records. The policy would
also refer to documents that explain terms like slamming. The policy
might be for staff and volunteers as well as students. A sample of our
district's policy can be viewed at this site:

http://www.mcps.k12.mt.us/technology/Policies/Default.htm

A simple Internet Use form may not cover all the above. It might just
give permission for a child to use the internet with supervision.

but let's face it: all the books are scattered on
the floor." --D.C.Denison

Hi Everyone,
I know I should know this, but I am hitting a blank
wall. What is the difference, if there is one, between
the school's Internet policy signed by the parents to
allow their childen to use the computer and an
"Acceptable Use Policy".
Thanks a lot.
