Library elective

Hi All,

With the beginning of school, new electives are being formed (45 minute =
period, once a week).  I am thinking of introducing a library elective.  =
The grades involved are 3rd - 5th.  I have some ideas of what I want to =
have the students do - the usual shelving and being responsible for a =
section order according to Dewey, learning how to check in and out books =
via our automation system, perhaps some data entry with one or two =
responsible 5th graders.  I am looking for ideas that you have used with =
those grades that have been successful and, perhaps what to avoid.  Any =
suggestion will be appreciated.  Also, if you have used a clever name =
for  this elective and are willing to share it, I would like that info.
