Tech help needed

I have a laser printer, (Samsung ML1430) purchased and installed last
December.  It worked fine until yesterday.  When I try to print I get an
error message of path not found.
   I tried reinstalling the driver and get same error message.  I have a USB
port and have highlighted that as the path in the selections for installing.
      My color printer will work if I connect the cord there.
     If it matters, the computer was new in Dec. also...a PC running WIN98.
Any ideas?
