TARGET: Children's Book Week Ideas

I desperately need your help!  Coca-cola will be doing a RIF book distribut=
ion in our county during Children's Book Week.  We were told to organize =
a week of events to generate excitement for the program.  I worked with m=
y advisory committee and came up with some really cute ideas around a the=
me we chose.  My problem is that I just found out there is a theme they w=
ant us to follow, "Reading Takes You Places."  Our ideas will not work wi=
th the theme we have been given.  I need to come up with a week's worth o=
f events that can be put together on this very short notice.  I would be =
eternally grateful for any event/activity suggestions that go along with =
the theme, "Reading Takes You Places."  After I receive responses I will =
compile them and post a HIT.  THANK YOU!
