Hi all,
Please tell me your school's experience with publishing software in the
primary grades lab setting.
We're enjoying some growing/changing pains :) and are trying to decide (as
we're encouraged to believe) if MicroSoft Word has everything we need for
our students in the way of a desktop publishing package. In lieu of
purchasing a kid-friendly program, we have played around with simplifying
the toolbar and modifying the "look" of the screen as it exists in our lab
computers' image - but there are issues with that solution also.
So, my tech committee asked me to use LM_NET to get a quick feel for what
YOU are doing out there with K-2 in the word-processing/publishing realm
of lab use. (please respond directly to me off the
list - dressel@osceola.k12.wi.us
I'll post a HIT if it seems worthwhile.
---------------Anybody using Word with K-2? Can you give a few examples
of lessons your teachers do with K-2?
--------------- Did you make modifications to the settings/toolbars or do
you use the standard Word package with even K and grade 1?
---------------If you use software written specifically, what do you
use? Why was it chosen?
