TARGET: ELEM descriptive story

Dear Wise-Ones/Colleagues:

I am looking for a good short story or picture book
that is very descriptive.  I have started working with
a group of second graders and third graders for an
enrichment project.  Our first theme is looking at the
relationship between the pictures and the words in a
story.  I will be asking the students to make up their
own illustrations to go with the description.  If it
is a picture book, I won't show them the cover or
pictures until after they have completed their
pictures.
