Well I guess I am definitely the minority in this discussion.
Thanks for all the input and comments.
I still feel that as a paying customer, I should be able to enjoy and use
all the amenities that a store has to offer (i.e. a place to sit as I decide
which books/magazines I am going to purchase). Of course, if all the
available seating was being used by other paying customers, I would not have
a complaint.
You know, I remember that as a college student (in the not so distant past),
I studied at home or at the library. I never would have claimed "squatter's
rights" in an establishment such as Barnes & Noble. It was just not done.
