Susan,
I watched the MArie Curie and the Tom Edison videos and found them not
only entertaining but accurate.  THey also illustrated a personal trait or
obstable which the person overcame.Curie had to overcome the prejudice of
being a women, Edison illustrated determination and inventiveness.
  I was skeptical of the set, being animated and afraid it would be to
unrealistic.  The 5th grade science teacher rally liked Curie and Bell.
THe 6th grade social studies teacher previewed Pocahontas and also order
Bradford and Galileo.
