SEC: Online and CD-ROM Reference Resources

I need some reference information and recommendations ASAP. There is a
little amount left of next year's building software monies and I need to
submit my most wanted list. I already have SIRS, Newsbank and Proquest and
we are a Mac network so many CD-ROM's aren't compatible (eg: Gale). I've
checked the archives for some good suggestions but I need comments on the
following:

Grangers Index to Poetry CD-ROM - need price and contact

World of Poetry by Roth CD-ROM - need price and contact

Hoovers Online - price, and comments

Twayne's Author Series and/or Scribner's Writers Series online - comments

SIRS Government Reporter - comments

CQ Weekly or CQ Researcher online - comments

Gale's (CD's not Mac friendly) - need comments:
        Discovering World History online
        CLC online
        Exploring Poetry online


I'm sorry this is a lot to ask but I need firsthand recommendations and I'd
like to order the best from the above. Any ranking of the above would also
be handy as I know I cannot get them all. My plan was to order something
for the English dept. and something for Social. I called some of the other
HS librarians in the area but they couldn't offer much help about these
particular titles. I count on your collective wisdom. Please respond to
address below so I can find them quickly. Many many thanks.
