An Educator's Reference Desk Lesson Plan

Each student will be given a 4x6 index card, on the front of the card they will draw something that they learned and found interesting about Canada. On the back of the postcard they will explain what it is and why they found it interesting.
At the end of the lesson each student will present their postcard to the class.

Background Information:
Before this activity can take place the class will have been through an intense Geography unit on all the provinces in Canada, including the rivers and other large bodies of water.
Concepts:
The concepts of this activity are for the students to demonstrate their own creativity, and for the students to illustrate that they learned something about Canada.
Materials: 4x6 index cards colored pencils or markers
Procedures:
Closure: The class will have a discussion on all the different ideas that were brought up about Canada, this will provide a review.
Assessment: Students will be assessed by the knowledge they present in their postcard, and by the creativity and originality of their ideas used for the project.
