Students will know the importance of giving to those around them in school.

Students will create a Rainbow Fish of their own.

Materials:

book

white construction paper
-
aluminum foil
-
color construction paper
-
glue, scissors, pencils, markers

patterns of fish
Procedure:
-
Read the book
The Rainbow Fish

Hand out scales of aluminum foil to the class. Model to the students the action of giving and how it makes them feel. The worksheet should have the directions - Write three sentences about "I feel happy when...."

Hand out and explain the worksheet.
-
Have them trace or make a cut out fish
-
Have them glue on small pieces of construction paper and aluminum foil.

When the class is finished, have the students show their worksheet and fish to the class
