*Bartleby.com: Great Books Online
A collection of classic works, most in early editions, including The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Oxford, 1914), The Harvard Classics (Collier, 1909-1917) and Bulfinch's Mythology (The Age of Fable--1913).   The search is awkward, but contents are browsable.  Recent works include online dictionaries and quotation guides.  Use the menu in the "reference" box to select the resource you wish to use.
